Church Mosaic Art using Butterfly wings

Church Mosaic Art using Butterfly wings
May 12
In most churches we see stunning stained glass art on windows, but the ones in this church in Ikitsuki, Japan, were made from the wings of over 30,000 butterflies.
Brendan Eagan explains:
The priest who helped build and run the parish had a passion for butterflies and his practices as a Lepidopterist allowed for this breathtaking art to be made.
