Food Art Festival!Jan 13
We have had a couple of Food Art featured here before. It has always amazed me every time I see new ones because the artists can come up with creative ideas and turn ordinary food into stunning works of art! Feast your eyes on my latest finds.
Giuseppe Arcimboldo was perhaps the first artist to use food to create a mosaic artworks, though his works was made of paint, not made of food itself. Special thanks to Paul for the info.
Jason Mecier‘s Art uses various type of food from assorted biscuits to jelly beans to come up with highly details portraits of famous figures.
James Parker from Veggy Art creates awesome fruit and vegetable carved sculptures.
Joost Elffers and Saxton Freymann combines wicked sense of humor and fresh take on popular culture to make the whimsical animal scenes using vegetables and other stuff.
Chinese artist Song Dong built a whole City of Biscuits. in a London department store. An estimated 72,000 biscuits were used to build this.
Carl Warner‘s Food Scapes takes the viewer to a fantasy world made up of fruits vegetables and anything in between! The photographs look absolutely stunning, and at first glance people might not notice that the pictures are really made up of food at all.
